As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications and integration platforms. You'll work across complex data environments, build robust APIs, automate deployments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and support scalable APIs and backend services.
- Build and maintain applications using C and Python.
- Develop and optimise solutions across large-scale and complex database environments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Support containerised applications and deployment environments.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support production systems and ongoing platform enhancements.
- Contribute to integration projects connecting Azure and enterprise platforms.
- Support data integration, monitoring, performance tuning, and incident resolution activities.
YOU WILL HAVE
- Strong experience in backend software development using C and Python.
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Strong database development and optimisation experience within large-scale environments.
- Experience working with Docker or other containerisation technologies.
- Cloud platform experience across Azure and/or AWS.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments

- Experience with Unigine, 3D visualisation platforms or working with .dxf files
- Exposure to Red Hat Linux environments
- Leadership experience or mentoring capability
