ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications and integration platforms. You'll work across complex data environments, build robust APIs, automate deployments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with modern DevOps practices, and contributing to enterprise-grade cloud and integration initiatives.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Design, develop, and support scalable APIs and backend services.
  • Build and maintain applications using C and Python.
  • Develop and optimise solutions across large-scale and complex database environments.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet.
  • Support containerised applications and deployment environments.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support production systems and ongoing platform enhancements.
  • Contribute to integration projects connecting Azure and enterprise platforms.
  • Support data integration, monitoring, performance tuning, and incident resolution activities.
 
YOU WILL HAVE
 
  • Strong experience in backend software development using C and Python.
  • Experience building REST APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet.
  • Strong database development and optimisation experience within large-scale environments.
  • Experience working with Docker or other containerisation technologies.
  • Cloud platform experience across Azure and/or AWS.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments

  • Experience with Unigine, 3D visualisation platforms or working with .dxf files
  • Exposure to Red Hat Linux environments
  • Leadership experience or mentoring capability
  • Strong stakeholder engagemane t and communication skills
