Overview
We're looking for an experienced SRE Security Engineer to join a high-profile UK Central Government programme, playing a critical role in securing enterprise systems, applications, platforms and infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with strong Security Architecture and Splunk expertise to work on mission-critical environments, helping to design, implement and continuously improve security controls across complex enterprise landscapes.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to security strategy, and provide technical leadership in a security-focused engineering environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and implement secure enterprise architectures and security controlsProtect systems, applications, data, infrastructure and business processes from cyber threatsConduct security assessments, audits and vulnerability reviewsDevelop and maintain security monitoring and detection capabilities using SplunkInvestigate security events and provide recommendations for remediationWork closely with engineering, operations and architecture teams to embed security-by-design principlesSupport platform security initiatives across cloud and on-premises environmentsContribute to technical discussions and provide solutions to complex security challengesStay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologiesRequired Skills & Experience
