Key Skills & RequirementsStrong hands-on experience engineering and supporting Azure platforms at scale, including compute, storage, networking, identity, governance, RBAC, managed identities, ARM, and Azure Policy.Expert-level PowerShell automation experience, developing reusable modules, tooling, testing frameworks, and automation used across production environments.Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, including CI/CD pipeline integration, code reviews, module design, and state management.Proven background managing Azure VM image build and release processes, including Azure Image Builder, Packer, Shared Image Gallery, patching, hardening, versioning, and deployment automation.Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, including VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, load balancing, routing, traffic management, and hybrid connectivity.Experience implementing and responding to Azure governance and compliance controls, assessing policy impacts, remediating non-compliance, and ensuring estate-wide adherence to security standards.Ability to troubleshoot and lead resolution of complex production issues across infrastructure, network, and application layers, acting as an escalation point for technical teams.Desirable experience with Azure Landing Zones, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, Entra ID, Azure Policy authoring, enterprise-scale architecture, regulated environments, and Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400.
