The Role:
Our client is a leading technology driven organisation undertaking a major digital transformation initiative focused on building scalable, modern cloud native platforms on Microsoft Azure.
As part of a high performing engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping technical direction, influencing architecture decisions, and leading the delivery of enterprise grade solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands on Technical Lead who enjoys balancing software engineering excellence with mentoring teams and engaging with business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor an offshore engineering teamDesign and deliver scalable cloud native applications using .NET 8, React and Microsoft AzureDrive architecture and solution design discussions across multiple product streamsCollaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsChampion engineering best practices including Clean Architecture, solid principles and secure coding standardsSupport sprint planning, estimation, technical governance and production support activitiesDesign and implement microservices, distributed systems and event driven architecturesOversee CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and release management processesEnsure applications are scalable, secure, highly available and aligned to enterprise architecture standards
You Will Have:
Extensive hands on experience with C#, .NET Core and .NET 8Strong frontend development experience using React.js, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices ArchitectureDeep understanding of REST APIs, Domain Driven Design (DDD), event driven architecture and distributed systemsStrong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure including:Azure App ServicesAzure FunctionsAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Experience with Docker and containerisation technologiesStrong CI/CD experience using Azure DevOpsHands on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using TerraformExperience with Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL and Azure Cosmos DBStrong knowledge of data modelling, query optimization, indexing and performance tuningExperience applying Solid principles, Design Patterns and Clean ArchitectureStrong understanding of secure software development practicesExperience with testing frameworks and Test Driven Development (TDD), including PlaywrightExcellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
Nice To Have:
Experience with GitHub Copilot and Agentic AI development toolsExperience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hubs, RabbitMQ or ZeroMQExperience building enterprise integration and messaging solutionsExperience with streaming, batch and file based ingestion platformsPrevious experience working within Scrum or SAFe delivery environments
