The Company

Our client is a lean, passionate team building a SaaS product that empowers enterprise companies to support their staff. They have been establishing an exceptional reputation with major names across Australia, and are now growing to continue evolving the product.

They are looking to add specialised Front End skills to a small cross-functional team and believe in maximising impact through improving the user journey.

The Role

You will be championing development practices, user perspectives and collaboration in an environment where you will be the 2ic to the Head of Engineering in all things  Front End. They will look to you to uplift the knowledge and capability of the 2 Front End Engineers in your team, as well as working with the business to define & refine the requirements and direction of the product.
 
Responsibilities

• Building new features on the Front End
• Establishing best practices and standards
• Championing testing & code quality
• Modernising existing features, UI & State Management
• Contributing to discussions on product growth & direction
• Adding value to the team through your experience, ingenuity and creativity

 
As an ideal candidate you will have:

• Experience in leading & mentoring Developers
• Experience in contributing to a product roadmap
• 5 years + Front End experience
• Intimate knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals
• Extensive knowledge of TypeScript
• 2+ years with modern versions of React
• Experience with Next would be beneficial but not essential
• Experience with Vue or Angular will be considered as they believe in core engineering not just experience with frameworks
• Experience in SaaS product development
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• A desire to see your work make an impact on a product & the user
