Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Change Manager to lead and control the end-to-end lifecycle of IT changes across systems, services, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure that all changes are efficiently planned, risk-assessed, approved, implemented, and reviewed, while minimising disruption to business operations.
This role requires strong expertise in ITIL-based change management, stakeholder engagement, and governance, combined with strategic input into IT planning and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities Strategic PlanningContribute to the development of IT policies, standards, and strategic plansDevelop and communicate change strategies and implementation roadmapsEnsure stakeholder alignment with strategic objectives and timelinesProduce reports and insights to support decision-making and governanceEmerging Technology MonitoringMonitor industry trends and emerging technologiesSupport technology roadmapping and innovation initiativesProvide insights and recommendations to enhance IT capabilitiesRequirements ManagementDefine, analyse, and prioritise business and technical requirementsEngage stakeholders to gather input and challenge assumptionsEstablish requirement baselines and maintain traceabilityEnsure alignment of changes with organisational objectivesConfiguration ManagementDefine and manage Configuration Items (CIs) and naming conventionsImplement processes for secure configuration and asset trackingMaintain accurate and up-to-date configuration recordsConduct audits and recommend improvements to configuration processesChange ControlLead the full lifecycle of change requests from assessment to closurePerform risk and impact analysis for proposed changesDevelop and review implementation plans for complex changesEnsure appropriate governance and approvals (e.g., CAB)Evaluate the success and effectiveness of deployed changesIT Service Change ManagementDesign and implement frameworks, templates, and procedures for changeAnalyse risks and benefits associated with IT service changesMonitor execution and ensure adherence to best practicesBenchmark change management processes against industry standardsSystem Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Apply structured methodologies across all SDLC phasesEnsure compliance with development standards and governance processesOversee checkpoints, deliverables, and quality standardsQualifications & Experience EducationBachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline
