Opus have partnered with an enterprise market leader in Australia who are going through exciting transformation and are hiring an Azure focused Senior Platform Engineer to the team.
The Senior Platform Engineer will be working within an enterprise scale environment that spans across the ANZ region. You’ll work on complex, high impact, initiatives alongside experienced professionals in an environment that combines the scale and stability of an established enterprise with the pace and innovation of a modern digital business.
This team is more of a Cloud & Platform Team who work with DevOps but are not overly focused on release management.
What you will be doing:
Partner with cross-functional teams to architect, build, and deliver scalable cloud and infrastructure solutions predominantly across Azure IaaS & PaaSMonitor, maintain, and optimise critical infrastructure and platform services, ensuring high availability and performance.Design and implement infrastructure, platform, and tooling capabilities aligned with business and technology objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, performance, security, and scalability.Champion DevOps principles, encouraging collaboration, automation, and best-practice engineering across technology teams.Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers, promoting best practices and supporting capability development.
What you will need to succeed:
Extensive experience in Azure focused Cloud & Platform Engineering Experience in designing and building out Azure environmentsPrevious background in Azure Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering is preferredProven experience developing Terraform from scratch - not using pre-built modulesExperience designing & building CICD pipelines with GitHub Actions & Azure DevOpsProven experience in designing and maintaining Azure Networking - Private Networking, VNet, NSG, Firewalls, LoadbalancersExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
