We're looking for a talented Java Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes for high-profile clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern cloud-native applications, enterprise integrations and microservices architectures using the latest Java technologies within collaborative Agile engineering teams.

The position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong intention to move successful candidates into a permanent position following the initial term.

What You'll Be DoingDeveloping Java-based enterprise applications and microservices.Building secure, scalable solutions using Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot.Working on AWS-hosted cloud solutions.Developing and consuming REST APIs.Contributing to modern Microservices architectures.Working closely with engineering, DevOps, testing and architecture teams.Participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.Following engineering best practices including CI/CD, TDD and automated testing.Essential SkillsCommercial Java development experience.Java (JDK 11+).Spring Boot.REST APIs.Microservices.AWS.Agile/Scrum.CI/CD exposure.Desirable SkillsDockerKubernetesKafkaJUnit / MockitoTDDOracle WebLogicEnterprise-scale systemsSecurity Clearance Requirement
