Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: Newcastle (Hybrid)
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Newcastle on a 12-month contract. You will play a key role in building and maintaining development environments, implementing automation, and supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
You will work closely with development and testing teams to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with DevOps, development, and client teams to deliver robust environments and tools.Set up, configure, and maintain tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and testing platforms.Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, testing, and delivery.Automate software development processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.Develop and manage serverless integrations between systems using APIs.Support infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools.Ensure high levels of system performance, security, and reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with public or private cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts with practical experience using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS Code Build.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as:TerraformAWS CloudFormation / CDKExpertise in configuration management tools:AnsiblePuppetChefExperience with containerization and orchestration:Docker / Docker ComposeKubernetes / OpenShiftWorking knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies.Proficiency in at least one scripting language:PythonBashPowerShellNode.js / TypeScript

They’re looking for a Data Auditor to come on board and audit large data sets before being submitted to customers.
You will be responsible for data validation and verification, quality assessments, process improvement recommendations and collaborating with account managers within a cross functional environment.

They’re looking for someone with solid excel skills with a strong analytical thinking mindset. You will be working with large data sets so experience with larger data will be useful. Also if you have worked with EPR compliance this will be a nice bonus for them.

Salary is up to £38,000 for the right person and they work hybrid with 2 days a week in the office.

The role is a blend of Azure, 365, Windows, Networking covering Firewalls as well as getting into configuration as well as troubleshooting.

In return a £40,000 salary + healthcare + 25 days holiday and hybrid working to Maidenhead, Bristol, Glasgow or Newcastle.
