Context: Large UK health/public sector clientProject: Transforming the client’s observability/monitoring platform – migrating from a legacy monitoring solution to a modern observability platform (e.g. Dynatrace) across the estate.Team Model: Multidisciplinary, hybrid-delivery team with a delivery lead and technical SMEs/estimators supporting the PM.Experience & DomainPublic sector experience – ideally UK government / health & public sector.Complex transformation delivery:Comfort operating in complex, multi-system environments.Experience managing technical transformation and modernisation work (e.g. retiring legacy stacks, upgrading Java/Spring Boot, large-scale tech refresh).Exposure to DevOps environments:Doesn’t have to be hands-on engineer, but should understand DevOps-focused delivery, tooling, and ways of working.Strong project management track record:Planning and running delivery for complex technical programmes.Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholders.Working closely with a delivery lead and technical SMEs rather than being the sole lead.Baseline: BPSS is acceptable, especially for non-production work.Preferred: SC clearance (or at least SC-eligible) is strongly preferred, particularly as the PM’s remit and exposure grow. About the Role We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on building and supporting modern cloud-based data platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work with AWS technologies, data processing frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code tools within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You will support the development, testing, and enhancement of core platform components while working alongside experienced engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
