Java 8 Software Engineer | £500 – £550 | Inside IR35 | 6 Months | Hybrid Remote
 
We’re recruiting for experienced Java Engineers with strong experience working with Legacy Java versions (Ideally Java 8). This 6-Month contract is determined as Inside IR35 and is offered on a Hybrid remote basis requiring 1/2 days per week of onsite work in Swindon or London.
 
Key Requirements
Strong commercial experience with Java 8 or similar legacy Java frameworksSolid skills in SQL, Spring Boot, and Hibernate development practicesProven ability to build microservices and reliable RESTful APIsHands‑on experience applying TDD and BDD testing approachesGood understanding of clean coding principles, SOLID, and cloud technologiesPrevious experience in Finance/Fintech/Payments is highly beneficial Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and thoroughly test new enhancements across the platformLead feature development from initial concept through to final deliveryProduce high‑quality software that consistently meets performance expectationsResolve technical issues promptly to ensure continued platform stabilityContribute ideas that evolve and improve the overall product architectureWhat to do next
